MEEK & MILAM – Frankfort, KY.
Around 1852, reel maker Jonathan Meek formed a new business in Frankfort Kentucky with one of his apprentices, Benjamin Milam, and the reels they produced were stamped "MEEK & MILAM". Meek & Milam reels were produced until 1881 at which time the reels were subsequently marked with just Milam's name - "B.C. MILAM".
