KOSMIC – New York, N.Y.
"Kosmic" was not the name of a reel manufacturer but rather a brand name that was stamped on reels that were produced by Julius vom Hofe, Montague and perhaps other reel makers over the years. The brand was first assigned to A. G. Spaulding & Bros and later U.S. Net & Twine.
Fishing lines and other misc. fishing tackle also was available under the "Kosmic" brand name. Some reels stamped with the "Kosmic" brand are highly sought after by collectors today. The value of a reel that is marked "Kosmic" is determined by the company that made the reel.
