Leo T. Willis was an Australian reel maker who manufactured a few different models of high-quality big game fishing reels from the 1930's on into the 1950's. Among the reels that he produced were the "Barrier" multiplying big game reel, the "Landem" reel, the "Makoora" reel, the "Neptuna" reel, the "Swordfish" reel, and the "Tasman" reel.
of Willis's reels are also found stamped with the name of one of Australia's largest tackle retailers, "Sil Rohu". Not much is known about Willis but his reels were well thought of back in the day and are highly sought after by collectors of Australian reels today.
