Not much is known about this Miami based rod maker. Covington made both six-sided split bamboo boat rods and half round tuna and marlin rods. Larger Covington rods have unique high roller guides that are stamped with the Covington brand. Covington also used a strip of black goat's skin across the top of his half round rods to help make them more resilient.
