Although Klein was best known for his wonderful big game reels he also built a few rods as well as sets of guides for big game rods. The guides were made in two parts, the first part was the base or foot that was wrapped onto the rod. The second, or top part of the guide that included the roller, could be unscrewed and removed from the rod for easy transport or storage. Very few of his rods have been found so not much is known about them.
