Although Van Stall reels are not that considered antiques, they are the first of a new generation of high-quality spinning reels made in the USA and worthy of mention here. First introduced in 1992, the Van Staal reel is still being produced today by Zebco in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Early Van Staal reels came with a fixed bail. Later, reels were also offered with either the fixed bail or with a full bail. Van Staal reels are made in several different sizes and are offered with either a black, silver or gold anodized finish.
