CLUBS, PRIESTS & MARLIN MAULERS

Once a fish has been successfully fought and brought up to the side of the boat or to the river bank, and, if that fish still have not given up the fight it is often necessary to calm them down further. To this end one of the oldest tools known to man is still used to finalize the battle, the club. The club used by anglers goes by several different names, on the stream a trout or salmon is subdued with a priest. In blue water the large tuna, marlin and swordfish are tamed with Marlin Maulers.
